Mark your calendars because on the weekend of Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, New Orleans will once again welcome Carnaval Latino 2014 to its Mississippi Riverfront at the Flea Market. The 15th edition of Carnaval Latino promises to be a celebration of extraordinary Latin music and the Hispanic heritage and culture, presented by the non-profit Hispanic American Musicians and Artists Cultural Association (HAMACA).
The weekend celebration of Latin music, food, art and culture will feature an international and local musical lineup and the festival will also showcase a sampling of authentic Latin cuisine. A variety of Latino artisans will also be on hand to offer a broad range of one-of-a-kind handcrafted items for sale. Children are also welcomed during this family-friendly celebration. A special children’s area will delight youngsters and provide parents with another reason to bring the whole family along.
